Got PS3 problems again? Remember your trusty old regular Nintendo? You could drop that thing off a cliff and it would still play all those exciting 2d games. The original Nintendo was borderline indestructible, but as technology has advanced the systems have became more fragile. It’s like comparing an old beat up Toyota corolla to a formula one racecar. The Formula one racecar has way more capabilities but is a lot more high maintenance. I suppose the phrase “you got to pay the cost to be the boss” would apply here. So now what happens when your console pops up a PS3 error, which inevitably it will. As do all high-performance computers that are used frequently. You will then be forced to pay Sony 150 dollars for this simple PS3 repair! Tips on Fixing a PS3So then next question you are going to ask yourself is what does this “Repair Technician” have that I don’t? Can’t I just learn how to fix a PS3 myself?” Well first of all he has a cake job when it comes to fixing a PS3, second of all he probably has an extensive set of tools at his disposal even though he uses mostly two or three of them. On top of that he probably gets free Sony DVDs and games that get damaged even in the slightest way, such as a scratch on the case. But most importantly he has a PS3 repair guide. Does it Fix All PS3 Problems?You can get a PS3 repair guide just like an automobile has a repair manual. These manuals are useful in diagnosing the PS3 problem and solving it. Most PS3 repair guide will have easy step by step instructions and photographs or illustrations to help guide you in your PS3 troubleshooting. Plus if you ever get in a jam you can always go online and there are enough people with PS3s that someone is going to be familiar with the problem that you are experiencing. Take into consideration that you will probably pay about a third of the cost of sending it in to Sony to purchase a repair manual. Usually you’ll only pay about $30 for a guide that will fix YLOD. Also consider the fact that if your console has any future Playstation 3 problems after you fix the existing one then you can use the manual that you have already purchased on the second PS3 error! If you have even a basic aptitude for fixing things you can easily learn how to fix PS3 if you had access to a repair manual. You just have to follow the instructions. So considering if you do decided to send in your ps3 you probably won’t get it back for at least a month and you will have to spend 150 dollars. Then a repair manual is an economical and FAST option for the PS3 yellow light of death. The PS3 repair guides that are on the market are made for the novice to use; they would not have much success selling them if you had to have a master’s degree in electrical engineering to use one. The majority of the problems can be fixed with a just a screwdriver and the ability to follow the directions in the PS3 repair guide. The majority of the people on the internet saying that “It is too complicated to repair with a PS3 repair manual” are usually PS3 repair technicians! So of course they are going to say that. If you have the PS3 YLOD then you don’t have much to lose by trying to repair it with a PS3 repair guide. As long as you follow the directions and don’t do anything rash. Then you should be fine with fixing a PS3 on your own. Also consider the fact that when you send your PS3 in, they might send you a refurbished one back to you. So you might get someone else’s PS3 back, potentially one that has had a lot more abuse and playtime on it. The refurbished PS3 could be on the verge of many more potential PS3 problems. For all you know the previous owners played football in the backyard with their PS3 on Sundays.
If you become proficient enough to fix a PS3 yourself with the repair manual then you may want to consider using your own skills to make some cash on the side.
